The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) is set to unveil the National Vehicle Dealership Registration Framework today, April 10, 2026, in Abuja.
City Business News reports that the initiative is aimed at driving transparency, standardisation, and growth within Nigeria’s automotive ecosystem.
According to NADDC, the framework represents a strategic step toward strengthening dealership operations, enhancing consumer confidence, and promoting a more structured and sustainable automotive industry in the country.
The Council noted that the introduction of the registration framework would help sanitise the dealership space, ensure compliance with best practices, and create a more reliable marketplace for vehicle buyers and sellers.
It added that the move aligns with broader efforts to deepen reforms in the automotive sector and support the development of a globally competitive industry in Nigeria.
Industry stakeholders are expected to attend the unveiling, which is seen as a key milestone in advancing regulation and professionalism across the nation’s vehicle dealership landscape.
