As part of measures to deepen collaboration across Nigeria’s gas policy and regulatory landscape, NLNG’s leadership, led by Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Philip Mshelbila, has met with the Special Adviser (SA) to President Bola Tinubu on Energy, Olu Verheijen and her team in Abuja,
According to NLNG, the engagement provided a platform to align on opportunities that can accelerate progress in Nigeria’s gas sector, including the development of critical infrastructure, enhancement of domestic gas utilisation, and policy frameworks that promote long-term sustainability.
As part of the visit, NLNG also presented the prototype of the Aktoras, a new vessel in NLNG fleet expansion programme.
One year ago, SA Energy, Olu Verheijen, was named the godmother of the Aktoras during the ship-naming ceremony in Korea.
The Aktoras represents NLNG’s continued investment in building a modern, efficient, and sustainable maritime capability to support Nigeria’s position in global LNG markets.
