NLNG Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Olakunle Osobu has challenged Africa’s public and private sectors to work together in closing the continent’s energy access gap, especially for the over 600 million people still without reliable electricity.
He emphasized that Africa’s young population and abundant natural resources position the continent to lead the future, if bold action
He spoke at the Africa Energy Technology Conference 2025 in Accra, Ghana.
Mr. Osobu delivered a keynote address on “The AI-Powered Energy Revolution: Digital Transformation for Africa’s Future.”
He spoke to an audience of energy leaders, policymakers, and innovators about the urgent need to rethink how Africa manages and delivers energy in a rapidly changing world.
He emphasized that Africa’s young population and abundant natural resources position the continent to lead the future, if bold action is taken now to build smarter, more inclusive energy systems.
Mr. Osobu emphasized that energy must serve as a platform for national advancement, not merely as a resource to be consumed.
