NPA Boss Condoles With Margaret Orakwusi’s Family

The Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mohammed Bello Koko has paid a condolence visit to the family of late Mrs. Margaret Orakwusi.

During the visit, the Managing Director noted that “while it will be difficult to fill the vacuum occasioned by her demise, the Authority and indeed the industry will take solace in the values and virtues she bequeathed through her mentoring, philanthropy, and advocacy for maritime sector advancement.”

Koko had in a statement said: ’Throughout her distinguished career, Mrs Orakwusi made significant contributions to the maritime industry, particularly in the area of legal expertise. She was widely recognised as an authority on maritime law and her knowledge and skills will remain a reservoir of knowledge for the industry.

Her path-finding contributions to the field of maritime law are immeasurable. 

Mrs Orakwusi was a true expert in her field, possessing a deep knowledge and uncommon understanding of the complex legal issues that arise in the maritime industry. She was a fierce advocate for equal opportunity.

In addition to her legal achievements, Barrister Orakwusi was also a passionate advocate for the advancement of women in the workplace. She mentored and inspired countless young women, helping them to realise their full potential.
