Activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday sustained bullish trend with market indicators growing further by 0.42 per cent.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that market capitalisation increased by N67 billion or 0.42 per cent to close at N15.949 trillion compared with N15.882 trillion on Monday.
Also, the All-Share Index which opened at 44,306.48 inched 187.31 points or 0.42 per cent to close at 44,493.79.
Similarly, the volume of shares traded rose by 52.96 per cent with an exchange of 876.98 million shares worth N7.43 billion transacted in 8,780 deals.
This was in contrast with 573.35 million shares valued at N5.88 billion achieved in 6,756 deals on Monday.
Guinness recorded the highest gain to lead the gainers’ table by N3 to close at N113 per share.
Beta Glass followed with a gain of N2.95 to close at N62.35, while Dangote Cement increased by N2 to close at N270 per share.
Presco added N1 to close at N71, while Stanbic IBTC also appreciated by N1 to close at N46 per share.
Conversely, Nestle topped the losers’ chart, declining by N30 to close at N1,470 per share.
Seplat trailed with a loss of N7.60 to close at N685, while Cement Company of Northern Nigeria depreciated by 40k to close at N17.60 per share.
Unilever declined by 30k to close at N44.20, while Air Service was down by 25k to close at N5.35 per share.
Transcorp was the investors delight, exchanging 160.99 million shares worth N393.74 million.
It was followed by Diamond Bank with an account of 99.86 million shares valued at N318.39 million, while Skye Bank sold 93.62 million shares worth N141.31 million.
