Perm Sec Visits NLNG Train 7 Site, Reaffirms Local Content Commitment

The NLNG Bonny Plant Site on Thursday, August 20, 2026, hosted Mrs. Patience Oyekunle, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources and Chairperson of the NLNG Board Local Content Committee (LCC), during a visit aimed at strengthening local content development in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
Oyekunle was received by a team of NLNG officials led by Engr. Ali Uwais, Project Director, Train 7 Project; Engr. Dagogo Buowari, Manager, Nigerian Content Development; Engr. Tolulope Longe, Manager, Contracts, Procurement & Materials; and Engr. Emmanuel Nnabuife, Manager, Production Units D & E, who represented Engr. Nnamdi Anowi, General Manager, Production.
The visit provided an opportunity for discussions on the progress of the Train 7 Project and the role of local content in promoting indigenous participation and capacity development in Nigeria’s petroleum sector.
The engagement also reinforced the shared commitment of the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources and NLNG to advancing local content through greater participation of Nigerian companies, professionals and service providers in major oil and gas projects.
The visit underscored the importance of collaboration between government and industry stakeholders in driving sustainable local content development and ensuring that major petroleum projects contribute significantly to Nigeria’s economic growth and industrial development.
