Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming how public and private organisations across Africa deliver services, and achieving sustainable progress requires strong collaboration across the technology ecosystem. This was the focus of PwC Nigeria’s participation at Google’s Africa AI Academy held in Accra, where policymakers, innovators, academics, and civil society leaders convened to discuss practical strategies for driving responsible and inclusive AI adoption across the continent.
Representing PwC Nigeria, Olufemi Osinubi, Partner and Consulting & Risk Services Leader, WMA, and Gbenga Adepetu, Partner, Finance Advisory, led conversations on how organisations can embrace inclusive and responsible AI transformation.
Their sessions explored the opportunities AI presents for service delivery, the guardrails required for ethical deployment, and the importance of building trust in emerging technologies.
They were joined by PwC global leaders Tim Persons, Principal & AI Leader, and Bhushan Sethi, Partner, Strategy&, who shared global best practices on leveraging AI to enhance service delivery, boost operational efficiency, and strengthen resource management within both public and private institutions.
PwC noted that collaboration with Google and other technology pioneers is essential in shaping Africa’s AI future. Such partnerships, the firm said, empower organisations and governments to design human-centred solutions, build digital resilience, and unlock new opportunities for socioeconomic development.
