Staff & partners of PwC Nigeria recently donated N2.58m to Sesor Empowerment Foundation for Benue Flood Victims.
Many communities in Benue State were flooded late August following heavy rains, leaving 110,000 people displaced and over 24 communities flooded.
There is extensive damage and relief materials are still yet to reach some communities outside the Makurdi metropolis.
Executive Director of Sesor Ier Jonathan-Ichaver, said: “We are absolutely pleased to announce a donation from staff & partners of PwC Nigeria
“PwC’s representatives, Obioma Ubah, Delia Asuzu & Okemute Olatunji-Albert were at our office yesterday to make the donation on behalf of their colleagues. We, of course, were gladly on hand to accept the cheque.
“Speaking at the presentation of the cheque, Mrs Ubah, Partner at the professional services firm said the partners and staff decided to make the donation for Benue Flood Victims after they saw the scale of damage floods in the last week of August had wrought in Benue.
“Sesor’s Executive Director, Ier Jonathan-Ichaver, thanked the PwC team for their donation, stating that the funds would be used to support victims. A report will be made to PwC on the use of the funds.
