A total of 10 exchanges and 23 representatives attended the Asian and Oceanian Stock Exchanges Federation (AOSEF) Working Committee, hosted by the Taipei Exchange (TPEx), in November 2017.

Delegates attended from major stock exchanges across Asia, including: BSE; Bursa Malaysia; Hanoi Stock Exchange; Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange; Japan Exchange Group (JPX), Korea Exchange (KRX); Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE); Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET); Taiwan Stock Exchange; and of course hosts TPEx.

According to World Federation of Exchange (WFE), the Capital Markets Forum 2017 is a public session following the AOSEF Working Committee, and is aimed at providing a unique platform for participants to discuss their experiences developing bond products, and to discuss the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for Asian stock markets. The forum focused on two topics: 1) Introduction of characteristic products of bond markets; and 2) The possible influence and impact on Asian stock markets driven by MSCI weight adjustments.

In recent years, TPEx has endeavoured to build active dialogue and interaction between stock exchanges across Asia. TPEx aims to create opportunities for future cooperation, bring dynamic innovation into the Taiwan capital markets, and will continue to play a key role as a bridge connecting Taiwan capital markets with the world.
