For the year 2024 fiscal year, the Tin Can Island Command, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has set a revenue target of N1.130tillion.

 Meanwhile, the Command has announced a revenue generation of N716bn for last year as against 801bn target it had set.
Area Controller, Comptroller Dera Nnadi who briefed Journalists on Tuesday expressed optimism of meeting up with the new revenue target.
Nnadi said the Command is determined to meet the new revenue target, adding that this will mean generating about N94.2bn every month.
On the performance last year, he disclosed that the Command had embarked on capacity building for officers as well as the stakeholders to be able to achieve desired target.
He said that the deployment of ICT was very useful as it optimized efficiency in the performance of the Command.
Nnadi commended the officers and stakeholders for their various roles.
He added that the 2024 has been tagged as a year of the stakeholders in apparent recognition of their roles in revenue generation.
But he warned that the Service will not fail to deal with those who chose to go against trade regulations.
The Controller stressed the need for Nigerians to go into export trade as imperative for the survival of the national economy.
He promised that the Command will continue to see that stakeholders as partners in progress, adding that regular engagement will be given priority in order to promote trade facilitation.
