President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has hailed Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), an aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, describing him as a loyal party man and trusted associate whose integrity, intellect, and leadership continue to enrich the development of Osun State and Nigeria.
The President’s commendation was contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, titled “President Tinubu Greets Seasoned Banker, Politician Munirudeen Oyebamiji (AMBO) at 60.”
President Tinubu celebrated Oyebamiji’s remarkable contributions to governance, public service, and national development as he marked his 60th birthday, calling him “a steady hand in Nigeria’s financial and political landscape.”
He noted that Oyebamiji’s work ethic, leadership qualities, and professional excellence stand out both in the banking sector—where he earned a reputation for diligence and competence—and in public administration, where he has served with distinction. Oyebamiji previously held office as Commissioner in Osun State and recently resigned as Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).
According to the President, Oyebamiji’s career has been characterized by humility, hard work, and a commitment to the common good, qualities that continue to earn him respect within the APC and beyond.
Tinubu further described him as “a loyal party man, a trusted associate, and a patriotic Nigerian whose exemplary character reflects the ideals of responsible leadership.”
As Oyebamiji marks his milestone 60th birthday, President Tinubu prayed for God’s continued blessings upon him.
“As you celebrate this landmark birthday, I pray that Almighty Allah grants you more years in good health, renewed strength, and greater service to Nigeria,” the President said.
