Major automotive brands reinforced their leadership positions in Nigeria’s fast-evolving auto market as Toyota Nigeria, Coscharis Motors and Weststar Associates emerged among the biggest winners at the 18th Nigeria Auto Journalists’ Association (NAJA) International Auto Awards.
The ceremony, held at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, brought together industry leaders, manufacturers, assemblers and media professionals to celebrate excellence, innovation and performance across Nigeria’s automotive value chain.

Toyota Nigeria Records Triple Win
Toyota Nigeria dominated the night with three major honours, reaffirming its stronghold in both the commercial and private vehicle segments.
The Toyota Hiace won Minibus of the Year, maintaining its long-standing reputation among commercial transport operators, while the Toyota Hilux clinched Pick-Up of the Year, underscoring its durability and reliability on Nigeria’s demanding road network.
In addition, Toyota’s state-of-the-art Isolo workshop in Lagos was named Workshop of the Year, recognising the company’s commitment to after-sales excellence, technical competence and customer satisfaction.
Coscharis Motors Rewarded for Luxury and Brand Diversity
Coscharis Motors also made a strong showing, securing two prestigious awards. The company was named Multiple Brand Auto Company of the Year, reflecting its diversified portfolio and strong market impact across different vehicle segments.
The Range Rover Autobiography further strengthened Coscharis’s luxury credentials by winning Luxury Auto SUV of the Year, highlighting sustained demand for premium SUVs among Nigerian consumers seeking comfort, performance and cutting-edge technology.
Weststar Associates Reinforces Mercedes-Benz Leadership
Weststar Associates Limited, the authorised franchise holder of Mercedes-Benz in Nigeria, added to the night’s highlights with two major recognitions. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class was awarded Luxury Car of the Year, praised for its balance of innovation, performance and comfort, while Mercedes-Benz itself emerged as Luxury Brand of the Year, reaffirming its enduring appeal in Nigeria’s premium automotive segment.

Beyond the major corporate wins, the NAJA awards reflected the growing depth and competitiveness of Nigeria’s auto industry.
