United Nigeria Airlines has announced the commencement of direct flight operations from Murtala Muhammed International Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2), Lagos, and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, to General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport, Ilorin—marking another strategic milestone in its mission to connect more Nigerian cities through reliable and accessible air travel.
The airline described the expansion as a testament to its commitment to enhancing domestic mobility, strengthening national integration, and making air travel more convenient for businesses, families, and visitors across the country.
According to the management, the new Ilorin route reinforces United Nigeria Airlines’ dedication to contributing to the economic and social growth of the state. “With every new destination, we reaffirm our mantra of Flying to Unite—bringing Nigerians closer to opportunities, culture, and commerce,” the airline said.
City Business News reports that in addition to the Ilorin launch, United Nigeria Airlines has also unveiled plans for further network expansion.
Direct flights from MMA2 Lagos and Abuja to the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport will commence on 10th December 2025, opening new travel and business channels into the state.
Similarly, scheduled direct flights from Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, to Chinua Achebe Airport, Anambra, will begin on 15th December 2025, advancing the airline’s mission to connect Nigerians safely, reliably, and on time.
