For the month of August 2019, Volkswagen Group has reported delivery of 848,600 vehicles globally, down by 3.1 per cent compared to August 2018 when it recorded 874,400 units.
The group also informs that during the January-August period, it has delivered 7,101,000 vehicles globally, down 2.8 per cent compared to the same period last year, when it recorded 7,302,900 vehicles.
In the Chinese market, the group has delivered 341,100 vehicles last month, down by 3.2 per cent compared to the same month last year, when it registered 352,500 vehicles.
Christian Dahlheim, Head of Volkswagen Group Sales, said, “The Volkswagen Group continued to perform well in a challenging market environment in August, with a slight rise in its global market share. On a positive note, we once again increased our market share in China, our largest market, significantly.”
