More Nigerian women are getting behind the wheel as the trucking industry seeks drivers.
In a vacancy notice issued at the weekend, ABC Transport Plc urged interested and qualified applicants to collect application forms from “any of our Business Office Managers nationwide and submit the completed forms (with a copy of valid drivers’ license) to the Business Office Managers”.
According to the notice, applications should be submitted not later than 3rd May, 2023.
City Business News Online gathered that the location is Calabar, Cross Rivers State and the proposed recruitment is designed to cater for firms in the South-South and South-East part of the country.
Please note that there will be an opportunity for training of female drivers willing to take up this lucrative/competitive job role, the notice added.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Between the ages of 25 and 40 years
• Must possess a valid class D drivers’ license upgradable to class G
• Minimum of 1 year driving experience as a Trailer driver
• Must have good knowledge of highway codes
Must be proficient in firefighting techniques.
