Specialized Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) training is aimed at ensuring capacity building and skills upgrade for technicians and youths to enable them cope in the ever dynamic automotive industry.
This was declared by the Director General, National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC),Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, at the opening ceremony of a collaboration between NADDC and Lanre Shittu Motors on CNG skills development at Ado- Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Explaining further, the NADDC Boss said:
i. The Council has converted some of its vehicle to CNG usage; some locally assembled gas- powered Vehicles have been procured as well
ii. Engaging World Class OEMs to ensure that the best conversion solution is introduced in the Country;
iii. Creation of CNG conversion portal for the registration, accreditation and licensing of workshops in Nigeria.
Prof Mobolaji Aluko, the Commissioner of Infrastructure and Public Utility, represented the State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji at the event.
