Covid-19: Toyota Employee Tests Positive

Toyota Motor Corporation has confirmed that one of its employee in his 20’s working as a line worker at the company’s Takaoka plant, based in Aichi prefecture, Japan has been found infected with Covid-19.

In a statement, the  company explained that 11 more individuals have been in close contact with the patient, adding that  three of them have been asked to stay home until the 14th day from the date that they had the last contact with the employee.

Toyota claimed that it has immediately disinfected the affected work sites on March 19 after learning that the employee was suspected of being positive and resumed operation shortly afterwards.
