DPR clampdown on NNPC petrol station, others over alleged under-dispensing

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has shut down 16 stations in different parts of Lagos including Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) outlets over alleged underdispensing of products.

DPR discovered that instead of the N87 per litre on their pumps as the selling price, the stations were underdispensing products to unsuspecting members of the public.

Some of the affected stations are  the NNPC station at Irawo bus-stop, Ikorodu road,  Mobil at Owode bus-stop, Ikorodu; So Super Limited (Sahara), Ogolonto, Ikorodu; General Oil Limited, Ketu; Walesaf, Owode-Idera bus-stop, Ikorodu, among others

Others are at Ibeju-Lekki are Kaz Oil, Lakowe; Forte Oil, Gulf road, Lakowe; Ona Ara Oil and Gas Station; Forte Oil, Molete; Wakass, Igando-Oloja; Forte Oil, Abule Folly Ibeju, and Forte Oil and Oribanwa.

Speaking at the end of the exercise, the DPR Zonal Operations Controller, Lagos,  Mrs. Chioma Njoku, said the affected stations would be sanctioned.
