
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has commenced a specialized training programme for Intelligence and Provost Operatives at the Marshal Inspectorate Training School (MITS), Owa-Alero, Delta State, as part of efforts to strengthen the operational capacity of its security personnel.
City Business News reports that the training, which brings together Intelligence and Provost Operatives from Commands across the country, is designed to enhance professionalism, discipline, internal security, and overall service delivery within the Corps.
Declaring the programme open on behalf of the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, mni, FCA, the Zonal Commanding Officer, RS5 Headquarters, Benin City, reaffirmed the FRSC Management’s commitment to continuous capacity building as a critical component of institutional development.
He noted that the specialized training underscores the Corps’ resolve to equip its personnel with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to effectively discharge their responsibilities in line with global best practices.
According to him, strengthening the capacity of Intelligence and Provost Operatives is essential to improving operational efficiency, maintaining discipline, safeguarding internal security, and enhancing the Corps’ ability to deliver quality services to Nigerians.
The initiative forms part of the FRSC’s broader strategy to invest in human capital development and sustain a highly professional workforce capable of responding effectively to emerging operational and security challenges.
