Hyundai Receives 14,000 Bookings For New Creta SUV

Hyundai Motor has unveiled the new Creta SUV for the India market. The automaker disclosed on Monay that it has received more than 14,000 bookings for the new Creta in less than 15 days.

 According to Hyundai, 50 percent of the bookings are for the diesel variants.

The SUV was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020 with a host of changes at exterior and interior as well. The SUV comes with a lager black front grille flanked by trio-beam LED projector headlamps and revised design LED daytime running lights. The wheel and taillight design too have been updated.

Inside the cabin, the new Hyundai Creta gets 26.03 cm HD infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, 8-speaker Bose sound system, six airbags etc. Also, the BlueLink connectivity package offers more than 50 connected features, as the South Korean automaker claims.

 The 2020 Hyundai Creta will be available in three different BS-VI compliant engine options, which include a 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine, a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel unit and a 1.4-litre Kappa turbo HDi petrol motor as well. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox, an IVT, a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 7-speed DCT as well.

The SUV offers fuel efficiency between 16.8 kmpl and 21.4 kmpl depending on variants.

Commenting on this, SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd, said, “All new Creta is the result of Hyundai’s ultimate science of human engineering to create the ultimate SUV for Indian customers.
