The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), has reaffirmed its commitment to road safety and emergency response with the donation of an operational vehicle to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos Sector Command.
The vehicle, a Wingle 7 manufactured by Great Wall Motor Company (GWM), was formally handed over by the Director of LSSTF, Mr Lewis Adegbola, on behalf of the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, to the Lagos Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde G. Hamzat.
According to City Business News, the gesture is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the operational capacity of security and emergency response agencies in Lagos.
Receiving the vehicle, Corps Commander Hamzat expressed appreciation to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the LSSTF for the continuous support extended to the FRSC. He assured that the vehicle would be properly maintained and efficiently deployed to enhance patrol, enforcement, rescue operations and overall road safety service delivery across the state.
The donation underscores the Lagos State Government’s broader strategy of partnering with security and safety agencies to ensure safer roads and improved emergency response for residents and road users in Lagos.
