The Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA) has confirmed that the 2025 edition of its International Auto Awards will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.
City Business News reports that the event is scheduled to commence at 6:00 pm and will bring together key stakeholders from across the automotive, media, and public sectors to celebrate excellence in the Nigerian motoring industry.
Regarded as the most credible and influential platform for automotive recognition in the country, the NAJA Awards honour brands, individuals, and organizations whose contributions have significantly impacted Nigeria’s automotive landscape.
Frank Kintum, Chairman of the Planning Committee, assured that preparations are underway to deliver an exceptional event that upholds the awards’ longstanding integrity and reputation.
“The NAJA Awards have become the gold standard for honouring brands, organizations, and individuals who demonstrate innovation, integrity, and excellence in advancing Nigeria’s automotive ecosystem. This year’s edition will spotlight progress in local manufacturing, green mobility, and industry policy development among others,” Kintum explained.
Also emphasizing the strategic relevance of the event, NAJA Chairman, Theodore Opara, noted its alignment with the Federal Government’s industrialization agenda.
“As the automotive sector evolves, NAJA remains committed to supporting initiatives that align with the Federal Government’s vision for sustainable industrial growth. We are particularly delighted to have the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) as a central partner this year, given its pivotal role in policy formulation and innovation,” Opara stated.
Dignitaries expected to grace the event include the Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh; the Director-General of NADDC, Chief Joseph Osanipin; the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria; and the Director of the African Association of Automotive Manufacturers (AAAM), alongside key members of the National Assembly and industry leaders.
Through collaboration with government agencies, manufacturers, and media stakeholders, NAJA continues to play a defining role in driving transparency, innovation, and world-class standards within Nigeria’s auto industry.
