The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has strengthened its engagement with key stakeholders as it convened an interactive forum with youth groups and civil society organisations at the Harold Dappa-Biriye Hall, Golden Tulip Onopa, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The session was organised to enhance collaboration with these influential groups whose contributions remain essential to the success of Nigerian Content initiatives across the state and the Niger Delta region.
Representing the Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Omashola Ogbe, the General Manager, Corporate Communications, Dr. Obinna Ezeobi, highlighted in his welcome address that youth and civil society groups hold a strategic place in the Board’s stakeholder ecosystem. He noted that their wide reach, grassroots influence, and ability to mobilise public support make them indispensable partners in the implementation of Nigerian Content programmes.
Dr. Ezeobi added that the engagement reflects the Board’s commitment to transparency, inclusiveness, and participatory governance—ensuring that communities not only understand NCDMB’s mandate but also contribute meaningfully to its execution.
The NCDMB team at the event included Mr. Teddy Bai, Supervisor, Government Relations; Mr. Teleola Oyeleke; Mr. Ifeanyi Nwokoemodo; and several other officials.
The forum provided a platform for open dialogue, enabling participants to exchange ideas, express concerns, and offer feedback aimed at improving collaboration.
The discussions further strengthened mutual understanding and reaffirmed the shared goal of fostering sustainable local content development.
NCDMB noted that such engagements will continue as part of its long-term strategy to build strong partnerships with stakeholders and ensure the inclusive growth of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
