New Toyota SUVs Take Centre Stage As Lafarge Africa Honours Top Customers, Transporters

Luxury and performance met loyalty and excellence as Lafarge Africa Plc rolled out brand-new Toyota vehicles as star prizes at its 2025 Customer and Transporter Awards, celebrating outstanding partners across the country.
The glamorous event, which recognised the “kings and queens” of Lafarge’s market, saw top-performing customers and transporters rewarded with premium models from the globally renowned Toyota Motor Corporation stable.
Emerging as the National Volume Champion, Elder Ubong Bassey Obot of Ubotex Nigeria Limited drove home a 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser, the flagship SUV known for its durability and status appeal.
Igwe Cosmas Ezeumeh Chizoba of C.C. Umeh and Sons Limited clinched the first runner-up position and was rewarded with a 2026 Toyota Prado, while Chief Etim Effiong Okon of Batoframoje Enterprises, who finished as second runner-up, received a 2026 Toyota Fortuner.
In the transporter category, B.I.G MultiQuest Nigeria Limited was crowned Transporter of the Year and presented with a 2026 Toyota Hilux, further underlining the brand’s reputation for rugged reliability in logistics and heavy-duty operations.
Beyond the headline Toyota prizes, several regional champions were rewarded with top-tier vehicles, generating sets, solar inverters, television sets, deep freezers and other valuable items in recognition of their contributions to Lafarge’s growth and distribution network.
The ceremony attracted distinguished guests, including the Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai; the Cross River State Commissioner for Women Affairs; members of the Lafarge board such as Mrs Adenike Ogunlesi, Mrs Olusola Oworu and Mrs Elenda Osima-Dokubo; and renowned actress Kate Henshaw, MFR, among other stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, Lafarge Africa reiterated its commitment to celebrating dedication, service and excellence within its ecosystem. The company noted that beyond building infrastructure, it remains focused on strengthening partnerships and rewarding loyalty that drives its business forward.
With the spotlight firmly on Toyota’s premium and utility vehicles, the 2025 awards night not only honoured performance but also symbolised strength, endurance and reliability — qualities shared by both Lafarge Africa and its top-performing partners.
