Renowned industrialist and business leader, Dr. Emmanuel Isichei Ugochukwu Ojei, fondly known as Nuel Ojei has died at the age of 74 after a brief illness.

Confirming the passing in an emotional statement, his son, Mr. Chuks Nicholas Ojei, described the loss as a profound shock to the family.
“With a heavy heart, I confirm the passing of my beloved father. His death came as a profound shock to our family following a brief illness. Words cannot fully capture the depth of our pain at this moment, as we struggle to come to terms with the sudden loss of a man who was not only our father but our strength, teacher, and moral compass,” he said.
Dr. Ojei was widely respected as more than a businessman. A distinguished Nigerian industrialist, entrepreneur, and business magnate, he served as the Founder, Executive Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Nuel Ojei Holdings Ltd (NOH). Through discipline, resilience, and uncommon wisdom, he built thriving enterprises that created jobs, nurtured talents, and contributed meaningfully to Nigeria’s economic growth.
To many within and beyond the business community, he was a mentor and leader of rare integrity whose life inspired excellence and service. To his family, he was a loving father whose counsel and values shaped their lives and decisions.
“He led with humility, strength, and compassion, touching countless lives across generations. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his teachings and example will forever remain our guide,” the family stated.
