The Lagos State Ministry of Housing has recorded another milestone in staff welfare and motivation as two of its substantive directors received official vehicles from the Lagos State Government.
The beneficiaries are the Director of Legal Unit, Barrister Bukade Idowu-Koya, and the Director of Engineering Services, Engr. Adedamola Adedokun, who were both presented with brand-new SUVs.
The presentation was carried out by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, as part of efforts to recognise excellence and boost morale within the public service.
Speaking on the development, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engr. Abdulhafis Toriola, expressed appreciation to the governor for his continued support for public servants and commitment to staff welfare.
“I wish to appreciate Mr Governor for his unwavering support for public servants and for consistently prioritising staff welfare under his administration,” he said.
Toriola congratulated the beneficiaries and urged staff across the ministry to remain committed, diligent, and dedicated to their duties. He described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the government’s commitment to rewarding excellence in the public service.
“The presentation of these vehicles is a clear demonstration of the State Government’s commitment to staff welfare and recognition of excellence in the Public Service,” he added.
He further encouraged officers of the ministry to remain steadfast and hardworking, noting that diligence and loyalty would always be recognised and rewarded, in line with the assurances of the governor and the Head of Service.
