The Minister made this remark in his welcome address at the Night of Tributes organised in honour of the late Minister by the Ministry in collaboration with his family at NAF Center, Abuja.
According to a statement issued by Director incharge of Public Relations, Mrs Yetunde Sonaike, the Minister said that Chief Ojo Maduekwe, during his tenure as Minister of Transport, brought his intellect to bear on the solution of pressing problems of national development in ways that enriched national debate noting that it could be controversial and non -conventional views.
He added that ”we have have lost a collosus, a patriot and a compassionate leader who lived a good life and left an enduring legacy ” The thought that a polished, discplined human being and an embodiment of humility like Chief Ojo Maduekwe has joined the saints above brought to my heart a combination of grief and gratitude” he said.
