
The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, led Nigeria’s delegation to the 2nd Edition of the Logiterre International Forum Trade Fair held in Casablanca, Morocco, from Thursday, October 16 to Saturday, October 18, 2025.
The high-profile event, organised by the African Union of Transport and Logistics Organization (UAOTL), was themed “Connectivity towards a New Model of South-South Cooperation.”
The forum brought together policymakers, industry experts, and business leaders to explore strategies for transforming Africa’s transport and logistics challenges into opportunities for growth and sustainable development.
A statement explained that the Corps Marshal’s participation underscored Nigeria’s strategic commitment to advancing transport safety, regional connectivity, and sustainable logistics across the African continent.
His presence, according to the statement also reaffirmed the FRSC’s continental leadership in road safety management and Nigeria’s active role in shaping policies for safer and more resilient transport systems.
As a panelist during the session titled “Advancing Safety in Heavy Goods Vehicles Transport: Roles, Preventive Frameworks, and Impact Assessment,” the Corps Marshal shared deep insights into Nigeria’s road safety model.
He outlined the FRSC’s preventive frameworks, enforcement innovations, and data-driven policies designed to curb road crashes and improve freight efficiency.
Highlighting the Corps’ achievements, Mohammed emphasized the importance of professional driver education, strict compliance monitoring, and regional cooperation in advancing safety standards for heavy goods vehicle operations across Africa.
According to him, sustained collaboration among African nations is essential to achieving a safer, smarter, and more connected transport ecosystem capable of supporting economic integration and growth.
