The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has described dilapidated road networks as a major challenge to the people of Southeast.
According to Osinbajo, despite Federal Government’s financial constraints, there is need to make improvements on roads in the South East.
Speaking at an interactive session with Journalists in Enugu, where he attended a function at the Cathedral Church of the Good Shepherd, Anglican Communion, Osinbajo disclosed that he had discussed the issue of Southeast’s bad roads with Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, pointing out that the issue was not unknown to the Federal Government.
He said: “It is not only one problem that the people of the South
East have in terms of roads. You know what our financial constraints are; there is a need for improvement on roads where there is a lot of commerce and movement of people.”
