
The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has paid an unscheduled visit to the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association (NAFOWA) Secretariat in Abuja, conducting an impromptu inspection of the association’s facilities and engaging directly with staff.
Arriving in mufti after returning from an official engagement, the CAS was accompanied by the Director of Protocol (PASO).
He was received by the NAFOWA President, Mrs. Ngozi Aneke, along with her full complement of senior staff.
Welcoming the Air Chief, Mrs. Aneke said the Secretariat was delighted to host him on short notice, noting that the visit demonstrated his commitment to welfare structures that support the Air Force community. “It was a delight to receive the CAS. His visit shows his commitment to the welfare structures that support our Air Force community,” she remarked.
During the brief tour, Air Marshal Aneke inspected ongoing improvements within the Secretariat, commending the team for maintaining a clean, well-organised environment.
He encouraged staff to sustain their efforts in providing efficient support to NAF families.
Mrs. Aneke also explained that the visit provided an opportunity to highlight facilities needing further upgrades, ensuring that the Secretariat continues to meet the evolving needs of its members.
Staff on duty described the atmosphere as lively and engaging, with several photographs taken to capture the memorable moment. Despite its informal nature, the visit offered valuable visibility into the Secretariat’s day-to-day operations and the association’s development initiatives.
The CAS departed shortly after the inspection, expressing satisfaction with the Secretariat’s performance and reaffirming his commitment to supporting NAFOWA’s programmes and welfare efforts.
