FRSC boss, Caleb Varsity VC, others for NAJA workshop

All is now set for the second edition of the 2017 Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA) Training and Capacity building workshop slated for June 8-9, 2017 in Lagos.

    At this year’s event, Boboye Oyeyemi, Corp Marshal of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) and Prof Deji Aina, Vice Chancellor of Caleb University will be delivering papers on critical industry issues that would help to shape and galvanise conversation within the country’s automotive industry.

  Also expected at the event are Anofiu Olarewaju Elegushi, Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation and other industry stakeholders.

 While the FRSC chief will be taking a look at “Decade of Action on Road Safety; The Gains, The Pains’,  Professor Deji Aina will be speaking on ‘’The Political Economy of Nigerian Automotive Industry Crises: Outsider Perspective’’.

The annual programme with Ford Motor Corporation as lead sponsor, is aimed at updating the motoring journalists drawn from the print, electronic and online media with the basic knowledge and practical details and recent developments within the local and global automotive industry. Coscharis Motors is the sole franchisee of all Ford brands in Nigeria.

Speaking on the upcoming event, Mike Ochonma, National Vice Chairman of Nigeria Auto Journalists Association and also Head of Organising Committee said the event would not have come at a better time than now when the country’s automotive industry is at cross roads.

According to Frank Kintum, National chairman of NAJA, the annual workshop is an avenue to continuously update the knowledge base of Journalists covering the automotive sector in Nigeria.
