“For the celebration period, we shall be deploying about 1, 500 personnel and 300 Special Marshals to man all  the nooks and crannies of Kwara.

“The officers and marshals will be stationed at strategic points to ensure free flow of traffic and quick response to any case of emergency.

“I use this medium to advise motorists, pedestrians, and other road users to obey traffic rules, especially at this time when the roads will be busy, and there will be high influx of people into the state.

“Commercial drivers and other motorists are also advised not to overload their vehicles for want of gain, it is dangerous.

“We also advise against speeding, and fatigued driving. When you travel at a regulated speed, it does not make you inexperienced; it simply means you are wise.

“If you have enough rest before embarking on a journey, then you love your life and that of your passengers.

“So we plead with motorists to adhere strictly to traffic regulations,” he said.

The sector commander said that the emergency toll-free line of the corps (122) is open in any case of emergency or obstruction on the roads during the celebrations. nan.
