The Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, has graduated participants of Junior Course 24, with a strong charge on professionalism, impact, and service excellence.
The graduation ceremony, held on Thursday, at the Ahmed Makarfi Hall in Abuja, brought together senior officers, instructors, and guests to celebrate the successful completion of the three-month intensive training programme.
Representing the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, the Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of Finance, Administration and Technical Services (FATS), Kikelomo Adeola, urged the graduands to translate their knowledge into meaningful contributions within the Service.
“You are a light, and all you have learned must not go to waste. Let others benefit from your knowledge and experience,” she stated.
Adeola emphasised that the training had equipped the officers to respond effectively to the evolving demands of the modern operational environment, stressing that the true test of the programme lies in practical application.
In his welcome address, the Commandant of the College, Assistant Comptroller-General Dow Gaura, described the graduation as a significant milestone for both the participants and the institution. He commended the officers for their resilience, discipline, and commitment throughout the course.
He also appreciated the Comptroller-General for his unwavering support for capacity development, noting that the College continues to enhance its training modules in line with global best practices.
The highlight of the ceremony was the conferment of the prestigious Past Junior Staff Course (PJSC) title on the participants, alongside the presentation of certificates and awards.
Participants also shared goodwill messages, reflecting on their experiences and the rigorous nature of the training, which they described as transformative and career-shaping.
The event concluded with the presentation of a souvenir to the Special Guest of Honour.
As part of the graduation activities, the College earlier hosted a regimental dinner night on 28 April 2026, fostering camaraderie among officers and reinforcing core values of discipline, leadership, and service.
The successful completion of Junior Course 24 further underscores the College’s commitment to building a corps of competent, resilient, and forward-thinking officers, ready to contribute effectively to the mandate of the Nigeria Customs Service and national development.
