Edo State Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has appointed Fred Itua as the Chief Press Secretary of the incoming administration.
Itua’s appointment was made public on Monday by the Governor-Elect’s media team.
Itua’s appointment is Okpebholo’s first appointment ahead of his inauguration and the official handover of power by the outgoing administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki, scheduled for Tuesday.
Itua, who previously worked with Leadership and The Sun newspapers, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, a Master’s degree in Media Arts from the University of Abuja, and is in the final stages of his PhD thesis in Development Communication at Veritas University, Abuja.
