Nigeria’s leading carrier, Air Peace, has reduced the frequency of its Abuja–London service to three flights per week, citing ongoing challenges with Jet A1 (aviation fuel) supply.
The airline disclosed this in a statement shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, noting that the adjustment will remain in place until July 1.
“We wish to inform you that our Abuja to London service has been temporarily adjusted to three weekly flights until July 1,” the airline said.
According to the statement, the decision was driven by current aviation fuel supply constraints affecting flight operations both within Nigeria and globally.
“This measure is necessary to maintain the highest standards of safety and operational reliability during this period, with full operational frequency on our London service scheduled to resume from July 1,” it added.
Air Peace acknowledged the inconvenience the change may cause passengers and appealed for understanding.
“We recognise that this adjustment may impact your travel plans, and we deeply appreciate your patience and understanding,” the airline stated.
The carrier further assured customers that it is closely monitoring the situation and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to mitigate the impact.
It reaffirmed its commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and customer-focused services despite the current operational challenges.
